Amplitube 3 Presets

I’m a (very) amateur guitar and bass player, and I like Amplitube because it sounds good, it allows me to play with headphones and avoid the wrath of my neighbours, and most importantly it’s a lot cheaper than a room full of amps, cabinets and pedals. Here are a few presets I’ve made; feel free to download one or all.

Most clips were recorded on the first take and I’m not very good to begin with, so listen to the previews at your own risk and for informative purposes only. The presets aren’t perfectly identical to the source but they’re decent enough, except maybe Limelight which I’ve been chasing for years and is completely impossible to duplicate. Also, if “Fat Bottomed Girls” sounds nothing like the actual song it’s because I didn’t want to change my tuning.

All were recorded on an Epiphone Les Paul Standard with all knobs on 10. I’ve played bits from songs that are representative of the tone I was going for. And yes, I’m a bit of a Rush fan…
